Braydon Johnson joined Oklahoma State in 2017, where he redshirted his first season. He appeared in only three games in 2018 for an Oklahoma State offense featuring future NFL wide receivers Tylan Wallace, Tyron Johnson, and DIllon Stoner, plus current NFL running backs Chuba Hubbard and Justice Hill. The following season saw Johnson get his first opportunity as a major contributor, finishing third on the team in receiving yards.
Johnson's stats regressed in 2020 and then, unfortunately, suffered a season-ending injury after the first game of his redshirted senior season in 2021. Taking advantage of his "super senior" eligibility season, Johnson returned in 2022. His 17.7 yards per reception led the team, while his 566 yards were third-best. Johnson was among one of the fastest players on the team and finished his career with 79 receptions, 1314 yards, and 8 touchdowns in 34 games, while also returning 24 kicks and averaging 18.0 yards per return.
