Bryce Ford-Wheaton was a three-star recruit that joined West Virginia in 2018. He redshirted in 2018 and finished fifth in receiving at West Virginia in 2019 with 201 yards (16.8 YPR). He doubled his production in 2020 and finished second in receiving with 416 yards for West Virginia.
2021 saw Ford-Wheaton play a bigger role on offense, as he doubled his career receptions at that point (42 receptions in 2021). He lacked the accolades to leave for the NFL, so he returned for the 2022 season. He led West Viriginia in receptions (62) and receiving touchdowns (7) en route to making the All-Big 12 Conference Second Team. He finished his West Viriginia career No. 12 in receptions (143) and No. 18 in yards (1867).
