Brycen Tremayne turned down a scholarship opportunity at Yale to walk on at Stanford in 2018, betting on himself in the process. He did not play in 2019 and in 2020 caught just three passes. However, all three receptions were touchdown receptions. In the COVID-shortened 2020 season, Tremayne finished second on the team in receiving yards (265), despite five other players catching more passes than him.
2021 was going to be a big year for Tremayne. He caught 19 receptions for 240 yards and five touchdowns in the first five games before a gruesome ankle injury ended the rest of his season. Tremayne successfully came back to college football the following season, finishing third on the team in receptions (38), second in receiving yards (490), and second in receiving touchdowns (3).
