Clayton Tune Wins Backup Job

In a season that has been riddled with injuries like never before, the NFL is set to have it’s 8th and 9th starting rookie QBs this season, already tying an NFL record for a full season through 9 weeks.
Clayton Tune showed some flashes during the preseason, but is about to face a real test against a Browns Defense that ranks 2nd in Fantasy points allowed to the QB position. The Cardinals are also decimated at Running Back currently, meaning Tune won’t have the luxury of leaning on the ground game. Fantasy managers who have Cardinals players should do what they can to look elsewhere this week, and be hopeful that Kyler Murray can make his season debut next week against the Falcons.
For Jaren Hall and the Vikings, they face an improved Falcons Defense, although they did allow 4 TDs from Will Levis in his first start last week. Hall doesn’t have the pedigree of Levis and shouldn’t be expected to replicate this performance. Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson still warrant being in lineups in most league formats, but expectations should be lowered for them and other Vikings pass catchers should be avoided all together.
Both Tune and Hall only warrant being in lineups in Superflex leagues where you’re desperate.
