Daewood Davis entered college football as a three-star recruit and joined Oregon as a member of their 2018 recruiting class. In three years at Oregon, Davis strugled to find a role on the team as he finished with 10 career receptions and even changed positions to cornerback.
Seeking a new start, Davis transferred to Western Kentucky in 2021 and put up 43 receptions for 763 yards and eight touchdowns in their pass-happy scheme with Bailey Zappe at quarterback. Western Kentucky remained pass-happy in 2022 and Davis benefitted, finshing third on the team in receptions (63), second on the team in receiving yarsd (872), and second in receiving touchdowns (7). His receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdonws were all top-10 in the Conference USA.
