DeAndre Hopkins Week 10 Fantasy Outlook: Strong-Start WR2
DeAndre Hopkins has officially settled into his new role with the Kansas City Chiefs and is looking like a solid fantasy option once again. After a slow start, Hopkins broke out in Week 9 against the Buccaneers, posting 28.6 fantasy points with eight receptions for 86 yards and two touchdowns. This performance showed that he is clearly the No. 1 receiving option in Kansas City, and with Patrick Mahomes under center, his fantasy ceiling is as high as it’s been in years. The chemistry between Mahomes and Hopkins is only getting better, and with Xavier Worthy still struggling, Hopkins is in prime position to remain the go-to target in the Chiefs’ offense.
Heading into Week 10 against the Denver Broncos, Hopkins is positioned to build on his momentum. The Broncos’ defense has been solid, but Kansas City’s passing attack, with Mahomes at the helm, is always a threat. With Hopkins now firmly entrenched as the top receiver, the volume and opportunity will be there for him to produce. Given his recent performance and the lack of real competition for targets, Hopkins should remain a strong WR2 with upside for this week. The old D-Hop is back in a big way, and he looks like a safe start moving forward.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins caught ...

Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins caught one ...
Former Texans and Cardinals All Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins finds a new home with the Kansas City Chiefs.
DeAndre Hopkins is on the move! The 32 year old DeAndre Hopkins was on the last year of a 2 year deal worth up to 26 million dollars he signed with the Titans prior to the 2023 season. The Chiefs were able to acquire the former Cardinal and Texan standout wide receiver for a conditional 5th round pick that could become a 4th rounder. Despite being ravaged by injuries at the wide receiver position, the Chiefs have managed to stay undefeated at 6-0 and now fill a massive need at the position by acquiring Hopkins.
Hopkins was off to a slower start than usual, posting only 15 catches for 173 yards and 1 touchdown in 6 games this season after being hampered in the pre-season by a knee injury. Patrick Mahomes desperately needed a reliable pass catching option after losing Rashee Rice for the year and now Juju Smith Schuster for multiple weeks with a hamstring injury. It will be interesting to see if Hopkins slow start was due to the knee injury he suffered early on, or if father time is catching up with him as his route participation did not pass 50 percent until week 4 against the Dolphins. In spite of these questions Hopkins is a must add in all formats because of the team need and opportunity he faces.
DeAndre Hopkins looks to build on week 3 performance against a leaky Colts pass defense.
DeAndre Hopkins fantasy managers are looking for him to build on his week 3 performance with Will Levis back at the helm against a Colts pass defense that has allowed 25.4 points per game to the wide receiver position. Week 3 saw Hopkins run a season high in routes with 22(52.4% participation rate) leading to 6 receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown. The Colts have allowed a 100 yard wide receiver to every opponent this year except for the Green Bay Packers, who ran the ball 53 times in week 2 as opposed to only 14 passes.
Hopkins disappointed in week 4 coming off of his season highs, but Levis left the game injured in the first quarter and Mason Rudolph was unable to get any receiving options the ball, instead opting to hand the ball to backs Tyjae Spears and Tony Pollard. Hopkins could easily finish inside the top 24 at the position this week given the performances allowed by the Colts to opposing receivers so far this season.

The Tennessee Titans expect wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to return to practice soon and believe he will be ready for week 1.
Titans wide receiver Deandre Hopkins has been absent from Titans preseason activities since suffering a sprained knee around August 1st. The original timeline for recovery put the 32 year old wide receiver’s availability for a week 1 game against the Chicago Bears in question. According to the latest update from Hopkin’s head coach Brian Callahan, he is expected to be ready for week 1.
Hopkins will likely miss this weekend’s game vs the New Orleans Saints, but will have two more weeks to get up to speed for the regular season opener in Chicago. It is unclear if Hopkins will be on a snap count or if he will see his full workload, but if he is out there it will certainly be a boost for 2nd year QB Will Levis. Hopkins is currently going in the 9th round of redraft leagues and at wr47 on underdog in bestball. If he is at full strength, he is almost guaranteed to outperform his current draft position.
Titans veteran wideout DeAndre Hopkins suffers MCL sprain, week 1 status in question.
Tennessee Titans veteran wideout Deandre Hopkins suffered a knee injury during practice this week and will now likely miss the next 4 weeks. Titans coach Brian Callahan stated that there would be no surgery and the injury is likely but not guaranteed to be a 4 week timetable for recovery, leaving the door open for a week 1 return to play. Hopkins was an integral part of the Titans passing offense in 2023 and figured to be a fixture alongside free agent signee Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd with 2022 first round pick Treylon Burks and 2022 5th round pick Kyle Phillips in uncertain territory. His injury opens up a window for one of the wide receivers to step into a massive opportunity.
Hopkins earned 137 targets in what was largely recognized as a broken offense in 2023. In 2024 the passing volume is projected to increase with the arrival of head coach Brian Callahan and weapons like Tyler Boyd and Ridley. With Hopkins now on the shelf, Treylon Burks may be able to step into his first real opportunity since his rookie year. Hopkins was currently going at wr40 on underdog, a price that is sure to drop with this news. Burks is currently priced at wr109 and is a cheap last round flyer in bestball and redraft leagues, much like Nico Collins was in 2023. The likely outcome is that running backs Tyjae Spears and Tony Pollard see an uptick in volume along with Calvin Ridley absorbing the targets in the absence of Hopkins. Burks and Kyle Phillips (currently undrafted on Underdog Fantasy) could provide a massive return on investment at their current ADPs.
