D'Onta Foreman Hospitalized After Browns Practice
4 months ago

Browns running back D’Onta Foreman was immobilized, carted off the field, and eventually left practice in an ambulance, per Daryl Ruiter. Soon after, the Browns organization released a statement saying, “Foreman sustained a direct blow to the head that resulted in neck pain.” They added that he was taken to a medical center in Roanoke, Virginia for further assessment and has movement in all extremities.

Foreman was added to the Browns roster this offseason to provide depth and a veteran presence in the locker room. As Nick Chubb continues to rehab from a gruesome knee injury suffered in week two of last season, Cleveland could be leaning on their depth again this year. With Foreman’s long-term status uncertain, Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong are two of the only running backs currently active in Browns training camp. Both Chubb and newly acquired Nyheim Hines remain on the PUP list. Regardless of the length of Foreman’s absence, Cleveland could look to a familiar face to play a similar role. Kareem Hunt remains on the free agency market, and his familiarity with the team and system makes him a candidate to return.

Foreman, a veteran who’s played for multiple NFL franchises, inked a one-year contract with the Cleveland Browns earlier this offseason. The 28-year-old has had a late-career resurgence, most notably rushing for over 900 yards and five touchdowns in 2022.

RB D'Onta Foreman Providing Insurance for the Cleveland Browns
9 months ago

Journeyman running back D’Onta Foreman is signing with the Cleveland Browns on a 1-year deal.

D’Onta Forman was a very talented running back coming out of Texas with a 94th percentile speed score of 112.6 at 233 lbs and 6 feet tall. Unfortunately during week 11 of his rookie season he tore his Achilles tendon. Forman only appeared in one more game for the Texans and did not appear in a game in 2019.  Since then he has played for the Titans, Falcons, Panthers and the Bears. Foreman’s career best came in Carolina during the 2022 season after the Panthers traded away all star running back Christian McCaffrey to San Francisco. Forman finished the season rushing for 914 yards and five touchdowns on 203 attempts, all career highs.

D’Onta Forman appeared in 9 games last season for Chicago Bears after running mates Kahlil Herbert and Roschon Johnson got injured. Despite starting 8 games Forman mustered 502 total yards and 5 total touchdowns. D’Onta Forman will now head to Cleveland to provide much needed depth at running back after star back Nick Chubb went down with a gruesome knee injury last season. Forman can fulfill the power back role along side the shifty Jerome Ford until Chubb is ready to go.

Forman is an absolute hand cuff for Nick Chubb just in case Chubb’s knee hasn’t healed or he suffers a setback. Forman may have lost some explosiveness due to his rookie season Achilles tear, but he has shown to be productive when teams consistently get him the ball. Stash Forman late if you take a chance on Nick Chubb.

Bears RB D’onta Foreman Doubtful for MNF

Insider Adam Schefter reports that Bears RB D’onta Foreman is listed as doubtful for Monday night’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, citing ankle and shin injuries. With minimal practice this week, it appears unlikely that the RB will play, paving the way for incumbent starter Khalil Herbert and rookie Roschon Johnson to handle carries. This sets Herbert up for a favorable flex starting position in Fantasy. For those anticipating a breakout from Roschon, this might be the week for those who have held on. Having a Monday night player adds a last glimmer of hope as we approach the fantasy playoffs, with both Bears and Fantasy fans eyeing the chance to spoil their opponents’ plans.
