Isaiah McKenzie and Tony Brown have been suspended for the remainder of the season by the Colts for conduct detrimental to the team.
It’s been nearly 24 hours since the news broke of Isaiah McKenzie’s suspension, and the Colts have been watertight in providing any additional information regarding the basis for levying such a punishment. It’s uncommon for teams to suspend players without the direction of the NFL, so there’s certainly a mystery to be solved here.
From a fantasy perspective, there is no major impact on the Colts here. McKenzie had only been playing roughly 10% of the Colts offensive snaps since their week 11 bye, and was clearly playing behind Josh Downs, who has a firm hold of the starting slot wide receiver position.
Though the Colts did bring in Jarvis Landry for a workout, no deal is imminent at this time. Furthermore, they Colts have already signed another player, Jaydon Mickens, from the same group of workouts that Landry took part in. Landry belongs on waivers until he can earn an NFL roster spot again.
