Isaiah Spiller Bio

Living in Texas is one thing, growing up and playing football at the highest level is another. Isaiah Spiller not only played at the highest level, but he was named to the Tops Texas First Team, as well as the 2017 and 2018 15-6A Offensive MVP. As a 4-star recruit with offers from every school in the Big-12 except Texas, the Klein,Texas native and Under Armour All-American opted to spend his next 3 years at Texas A&M.

Upon arrival to College Station, Spiller took the Aggies backfield by storm, in Week 1 he ran the ball 7 times for 106 yards and a touchdown against Texas State in a blowout win, playing breather back to Jashaun Corbin. After Corbin went down in Week 2, A&M was hesitant to hand the reins to Spiller, but by Week 7 against Ole Miss it was officially Spiller Season. His freshman campaign reached its peak during a Week 9 blowout of UTSA where Spiller racked up 217 yards on the ground and 3 touchdowns enroute to SEC All-Freshman honors.

After a dominant three seasons, Spiller secured All-SEC honors again in 2021 along with the Aggies Offensive Skill Award. It's unclear if his poor showing at his pro day and combine will impact his draft stock.

Isaiah Spiller was selected in the 4th round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Chargers. His landing spot in LA means he will definitely not be the starting back in 2022. However, if you believe the narrative that they’re looking for their next Melvin Gordon, remember he’s going to be 21 in August of this year.
