Jalen Milroe Throws at Combine

Alabama’s Quarterback Jalen Milroe participated in the on field throwing sessions at the NFL Combine this weekend.

Alabama’s Quarterback Jalen Milroe completes on field throwing at the NFL Combine in Indy.  He had a few great deep throws down the field, which were impressive.  However, he was wildly inaccurate on a bunch of throws.  He had that problem throughout his Alabama career.  He also did not participate in any athletic testing at the Combine.  If participated he would have improved his draft stock but decided not to.  A lot of eyes were going to be on how fast he can run the 40 in, looks like we may have to wait until his pro-day.  The most talked about thing with Milroe at the Combine was his hand measurements.  At the Senior Bowl a month ago, his hands measured in at 8 3/4” and at the Combine they measured at 9 3/8” his hand grew a half inch in a month…

Weather, big hands or small hands Jalen Milroe should have participated in the athletic portion of the Combine, which could have raised his draft stock.  Now, all eyes will be on him during his pro-day.  Milroe can the 3rd quarterback off the board or could be the 5th.  That looks to be the range for him, but could have improved with a better Combine.

Jalen Milroe Stock Remains Unchanged After Senior Bowl
1 month ago

With stock of players going up and down, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe leaves the Senior Bowl with a neutral effect on his draft stock.

The Senior Bowl went off last week with plenty of fanfare for players who had their NFL draft stock rise while others saw their stock dip. Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe fell into neither category as his performance in drills and in the Senior Bowl didn’t move the needle in either direction.

It is evident at this point that Jalen Milroe will come to an NFL team as expected. He is mobile and offers escapability in the pocket that is enviable in fantasy football circles while needing development as a passer. Milroe had 16 touchdown passes to 11 interceptions while rushing for 726 yards and 20 rushing touchdowns in 2024.

Jalen Milroe is not in consideration for first round draft capital. On the Pro Football Focus Big Board 2025, Milroe is ranked 96th which has him hovering between late round 3 and early round 4 draft capital. While the hope for Milroe is for him to be a starter, he would benefit from some time developing and getting acclimated to an NFL offense. Declaring as a junior, it does seem odd that Milroe didn’t go back for one more season; leading to believe he has received enough word from his agent and NFL teams that there is genuine interest in his talents.

Senior Bowl Watch: Quarterback Jalen Milroe
1 month ago

With draft capital up in the air, Jalen Milroe looks to tighten up his draft stock at the Senior Bowl.

Much was made of whether or not Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe would declare for the 2025 NFL draft. Milroe offers dual threat ability that is appealing to fantasy gamers, however his passing leaves plenty to be desired for the NFL game.

As a junior, Milroe threw for 2,844 yards with 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. This isn’t a ratio that will gather long standing impact at the next level. The draw will be what Milroe offers on the ground. In 2024, Milroe had 168 carries for 726 yards and an astounding 20 touchdowns.

Offering video game numbers in fantasy due to his rushing ability, Milroe drafters will have some hope that he can take the Jalen Hurts path. Milroe is no slam dunk for first round draft capital as he has a Pro Football Focus rank at 68 on their Big Board 2025. This would place Milroe in the 3rd round. Teams to monitor for interest include the Las Vegas Raiders, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants.
