Jermaine Burton Bio

Jermaine Burton is a wide receiver who was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of the 2024 NFL draft. Burton played high school football in Calabasas, California where he would be rated a four star prospect. Burton would choose the University of Georgia as his home, where he was able to find playing time despite being a freshman in a loaded receiver room.

Burton would accumulate 400 yards receiving and three touchdowns his freshman season. He would go on to post similar numbers his sophomore season, but a change was coming for the receiver. Burton transferred to the university of Alabama where he saw an increase in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. He was the Crimson Tide's leading  receiver for two seasons in a row, but he never reached 1,000 yards receiving in his collegiate career. Scouts raved about his talent as a physical route runner that rarely gets knocked off his route. There were some off the field concerns that were floated out during draft season, and could have contributed to him falling to the third round. The opportunity is there for Burton to become a key contributor in Cincinnati, especially with the uncertain future of Tee Higgins.
