Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison has a court date set.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison will appear in court on October 7th for his DUI arrest this offseason on July 12. Addison had one of the better rookie seasons last year, finishing with 70 catches for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns finishing as a WR 2 in fantasy. With the court date to be in middle of the season it would appear he most likely won’t receive any in season suspensions. After the dust settles from the legal standpoint, the NFL will take their actions. He may face suspension next year pending how the legal system goes.
With the news of the charges, it may lower his ADP. Some owners could be afraid of drafting him, making his slide for redraft a perfect time to pick him up. He should be available for all games this season, but next season he could face some suspension time.

The Vikings organization and second year wide receiver Jordan Addison are at a crossroads.
Following his arrest last Friday on suspicion of DUI, Jordan Addison has scrubbed his social Media of all traces of the Minnesota Vikings pictures and mentions. Addison was found asleep at the wheel on a Los Angeles highway and was arrested after a DUI investigation was performed. Following his release from custody he has now removed all traces of the Minnesota Vikings from his social media accounts, leading to rampant speculation on the internet that he could be traded or outright released.
Addison is currently the WR-39 on UnderDog and has secured a solidified role after a strong rookie campaign. If he is suspended or traded Addison would experience a drastic dip in price much like Rashee Rice has this offseason. Expect this news to have a negative impact on his current ranking.
The Vikings wide receiver has now had legal issues involving a motor vehicle in two consecutive off-seasons.
Adam Schefter reports that Minnesota Vikings second year wide receiver Jordan Addison was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. This is the second incident involving a motor vehicle in successive off-seasons for Addison.
This comes at a tender time for the Minnesota Vikings organization and the NFL as a whole as Vikings rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson tragically passed away just recently at the hands of a driver believed to be under the influence of alcohol. Fortunately Addison’s most recent indiscretion did not involve a fatality.
Jordan Addison, who has been a fade in fantasy with quarterback uncertainty now has a potential suspension looming over his shoulders in 2024. Off the field, there are heavy concerns about Addison’s maturity. Drafters now need to understand that there is inherent risk when clicking Jordan Addison at his current ADP.
T.J. Hockenson has signed a contract extension with the Minnesota Vikings.
T.J. Hockenson has signed a contract extension with the Minnesota Vikings. The deal is reportedly a 4-year/$68.5 million contract that will make him one of the highest-paid tight ends in the league. Hockenson was traded to the Minnesota Vikings during the 2022 regular season in exchange for a package of draft picks. He quickly ingratiated himself into the offense and was No. 3 in fantasy points per game following his trade.
This deal was expected, given that the Vikings invested significant draft capital to acquire him. Regardless, this secures his position in one of the highest-volume passing offenses for the foreseeable future. Despite the presence of other notable options, Hockenson will continue to receive enough targets to potentially finish as the highest-scoring tight end not named Travis Kelce.
The hope at this point is that Hockenson will return to practice sooner rather than later. He missed most of training camp while this contract was being negotiated due to back stiffness and an ear infection. However, the Vikings have expressed their belief that Hockenson is not in danger of missing week one. Fantasy managers can confidently start him as a top 5 fantasy tight end right out of the gate barring any setbacks.
