Green Bay Packers New RB Josh Jacobs looks to be rehabbing.
Packers newly signed RB Josh Jacobs was spotted on the sidelines running sprints, as he rehabs a hamstring injury. Jacobs has a history of injuries but looks to be nearing a return coach Matt LaFleur said. This doesn’t sound to be serious, but it is worth noting that he is rehabbing a soft tissue injury. He did miss 4 games last season with the Raiders due to a bruised thigh, after not missing any games in 2022 season, while leading the league in rushing yards.
For fantasy Jacobs is a do it all running back and looks to get back to his 2022 form, where he finished the season as RB 3. He will have a better offensive line and better offense overall with the Packers than the Raiders. So finishing in top-10 is very well in the cards for him this season.

The Green Bay Packers have agreed to a deal to sign former Raiders RB Josh Jacobs.
Josh Jacobs was a fan favorite in Las Vegas. After the 2023 regime change and the hiring of Antonio Pierce, fans hoped that Jacobs would re-sign with the team, and maybe finish his career as a Raider. That hope is dead. Josh Jacobs is signing with the Green Bay Packers.
Jacobs, a former 1st Rd pick, will be entering his age 26 season and coming off of two very different seasons. Jacobs led the NFL in rushing yards in 2022, and in 2023, the often banged-up back missed the first significant playing time with an injury. Jacobs was out for the final 4 games last season, opening the door for Zamir White to take over the RB1 duties. This, after a training camp holdout led to speculation that he started the 2023 season but “wasn’t ready.” Jacobs should be the lead back in Green Bay.
In corresponding news, the Packers’ talks in an attempt to bring back Aaron Jones broke down and Jones will now be released. Jones is another back who missed significant time in 2023 with an injury.
The Raiders will not be trading Davante Adams.
It has been rumored for quite some time that the Las Vegas Raiders would entertain trading away wide receiver Davante Adams. The heavy speculation was that Adams would be a New York Jet in a reunion with QB Aaron Rodgers.
Las Vegas GM Tom Telesco was asked about the idea and intimated that there would be no such event. “He’s a Raider.”
Additionally, the Raiders announced they would not be franchise tagging running back Josh Jacobs. Jacobs will be able to explore deals from other teams in free agency.
The Las Vegas Raiders have ruled RB Josh Jacobs OUT for Week 15 and have named Zamir White as the replacement.
Las Vegas Raiders RB Josh Jacobs injured his quad in Week 14’s 3-0 shootout with the Minnesota Vikings. Jacobs did not practice at all during the short week leading to Thursday night’s matchup against Easton Stick and the Los Angeles Chargers and has been ruled OUT.
Jacobs’ replacement will be former University of Georgia RB Zamir White. White will be making his first career start.
Both teams have seen their struggles this season. The Chargers pre-season starters that will be missing from the game include QB Justin Herbert and WRs Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. In addition to Jacobs, starting offensive linemen LT Kolton Miller and C Andre James will be missing.
Josh Jacobs has ended his holdout and has agreed on a new contract with the Las Vegas Raiders for 2023.
In a move surprising very few, and upsetting only those with high hopes for their Zamir White shares, Josh Jacobs has ended his holdout and will return to the Las Vegas Raiders for the 2023 NFL season. Jacobs had refused to play on the $10.1 million franchise-tag which the Raiders placed on him after refusing to pick up his 5th-year option. The new deal has been reported by Ian Rappaport to be worth up to $12 million.
The NFL’s leading rusher in 2022 had fallen in-line with the majority of the NFL’s running back corps in his displeasure with the perceived value of players at the position. The contrast between the physical toll on them versus other positions is not fairly compensated, they believe. Jacobs becomes the last of the prominent running backs to capitulate, after both Tony Pollard and Saquon Barkley threatened holdouts this offseason.
Jacobs had the best season of his career in 2022 at the age of 24. The former Alabama rusher totaled 2053 yards from scrimmage and 12 touchdowns, rushing for 1653 yards to lead the NFL. He added 400 yards receiving on 53 catches.
Jacobs’ holdout saw an increase in average draft position for his backfield mate in Las Vegas, Zamir White, whose value will now regress to that of a true handcuff. Jacobs has consistently remained in the back of the top 10 running backs in fantasy value throughout the Summer and will likely stay there, if not see a slight boost with his status now certain.
