Former Falcons' Wideout Mack Hollins Agrees to One-Year Deal with Bills
8 months ago

The 6’4″ wide receiver will effectively serve as the Gabe Davis replacement in Buffalo’s Josh Allen-led offense.

Wide receiver Mack Hollins—who previously played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders, and most recently, the Atlanta Falcons—has agreed to a one-year, $3 million deal with the Buffalo Bills, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

With Gabe Davis joining the Jacksonville Jaguars on a lucrative three-year, $39 million contract, Hollins serves as a lesser but much cheaper replacement as a deep threat that can stretch the field for quarterback Josh Allen. For a Buffalo team in a tricky cap situation, this signing could prove to be a steal in 2024.

In addition to his receiving abilities (75 catches for 941 yards over the past two seasons), Hollins is a core special teams player who will provide the Super Bowl-hopeful Bills with much-needed positional flexibility.

Having amassed a career-best 690 receiving yards and four touchdowns with the Raiders in 2022, Hollins hasn’t exceeded 251 yards in any of his other six years. With just under 1,700 yards over his seven-year career, Hollins hasn’t produced consistently enough to garner attention in fantasy leagues.

In all fairness to Hollins, though, he hasn’t played with a quarterback anywhere near Josh Allen’s level. Allen’s downfield, attacking nature figures to bolster his production in 2024, as does Hollins’ knack for tracking deep balls and elevating in contested catch situations.

That said, it’s hard to trust Hollins as a reliable fantasy option in 2024 and beyond. At age 30, he won’t get many looks in dynasty formats, and his career production doesn’t serve him well in other leagues, either. So while Big Mack might provide a jolt to the Buffalo Bills’ offense, his fantasy outlook isn’t nearly as promising.
