Marquise Brown Bio

Marquise Brown is a wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 2019 with the No. 25 overall pick. Brown played at Chaminade-Madonna High School in Hollywood, Florida, and did not receive any Division I offers out of high school. After one year at College of the Canyons, Brown transferred to the University of Oklahoma, where he caught passes from Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray. As a premier deep threat, he averaged 19.2 and 17.6 yards per reception, respectively, in two years at Oklahoma. He totaled 2,413 yards and 17 touchdowns in two seasons as a Sooner. Measuring in at 5-9 and 166-pounds, Brown recorded a 4.27 40-yard Dash at his Pro Day.

Over the course of his first three seasons with the Ravens, Brown saw a steady uptick in usage. His targets increased from 71 to 100 to 145 in his third season, while his Air Yards increased from 841 to 1298 and then 1518. His rapport with Lamar Jackson also developed and he recorded a top-24 fantasy season in his third season as a pro. Brown also top-10 in Deep Targets for two straight seasons, with 25 in 2020 and 27 in 2021.

During the 2022 NFL Draft, the Ravens traded Brown and a third round pick for the No. 23 overall pick. Playing behind WR1 Deandre Hopkins in 2022, Brown's production tapered off. He also missed five games with a foot fracture. Deandre Hopkins left for Tennessee in free agency in 2023 and Marquise Brown became WR1 in Arizona. Joshua Dobbs was under center for the first part of the season as Kyler Murray recovered from a torn ACL he suffered at the end of the 2022 season. Brown played in 14 games in 2023 and caught just 51 passes for 574 yards, the lowest yardage total of his career.
