Marshawn Lloyd will miss time with hamstring injury.
Rookie 3rd round selection for the Green Bay Packers running back Marshawn Lloyd was injured during the preseason contest on Saturday with the the Cleveland Browns. Lloyd has earned the praise of his teammates and coaching staff for his shifty and explosive running style, but will now be sidelined as he nurses his injury. Lloyd recorded 1 catch for 1 yard and 1 carry for 8 yards prior to injury.
Lloyd was figured by many fantasy managers to push unspectacular veteran A.J. Dillon for snaps in the backfield behind starter Josh Jacobs. With this news, he will likely be pushed further down draft boards. Lloyd is currently going at pick 144 at the end of the 12th round. He may be a popular last round pick in redraft, and he will likely be falling further from his rb45 price tag in bestball drafts.
Green Bay Packers New RB Josh Jacobs looks to be rehabbing.
Packers newly signed RB Josh Jacobs was spotted on the sidelines running sprints, as he rehabs a hamstring injury. Jacobs has a history of injuries but looks to be nearing a return coach Matt LaFleur said. This doesn’t sound to be serious, but it is worth noting that he is rehabbing a soft tissue injury. He did miss 4 games last season with the Raiders due to a bruised thigh, after not missing any games in 2022 season, while leading the league in rushing yards.
For fantasy Jacobs is a do it all running back and looks to get back to his 2022 form, where he finished the season as RB 3. He will have a better offensive line and better offense overall with the Packers than the Raiders. So finishing in top-10 is very well in the cards for him this season.

MarShawn Lloyd posts same 40-time as Bijan Robinson (4.46)
MarShawn Lloyd’s college football journey has been marked by both successes and setbacks. He suffered a torn ACL during practice before his freshman year, and he struggled to establish himself as the primary running back at South Carolina. Ultimately, leading to his transfer to USC in 2023, where he experienced the most success in his career by far.
With the upcoming NFL draft, Lloyd is projected to be a day 3 pick or later. With his impressive speed of 4.46 at 220 pounds, his draft stock could rise. For Lloyd to become a successful starting running back in the NFL, he must focus on improving his pass-blocking skills. However, despite this area for improvement, Lloyd’s age of only 23 years old suggests he has plenty of time to develop and could still become a significant player in the fantasy football realm.
