Mohamed Ibrahim Bio

Mohamad Ibrahim is a running back for Minnesota. After redshirting as a Frehsman, Ibrahim became the starting RB for the Golden Gophers as a RS Freshman in 2017, finishing second all-time among Minnesota Freshman RBs with 1,160 rushing yards. Mo Ibrahim became the MVP of the 2018 Quick Lane Bowl with a dominant 224 yards and 2 TDs over Georgia Tech, and was Honorable Mention All-Big Ten.

Mohamed Ibrahim earned the Paul Giel Award for Unselfish and Most Concern about Minnesota as a RS Sophomore in 2019, before being named the Big Ten Running Back of the Year in 2020. Ibrahim had 209 touches for 1,132 yards and 15 TDs on his was to becoming First-Team All-Big Ten and Third-Team All-American. He would be forced to take a medical redshirt in 2021, tearing his Achilles after recording 163 yards and 2 TDs in the first game of the season.

Ibrahim would return as a Super Senior in 2022 like nothing happened, setting career highs across the board with 320 carries for 1,665 yards and 20 TDs. Mo would be honored as First-Team All-Big Ten, a Second-Team All-American and Academic All-Big Ten in his final season. Ibrahim leaves the Golden Gophers first in school history with 4,668 rushing yards, 53 Tds, and 19-straight games with 100+ yards rushing.
