Nathan Dell started his career at Alabama A&M. He appeared in four games before redshirting. He'd spend the 2019 season at Independence Community College, where he proceeded to put up 1278 all-purpose yards. As a JUCO, he'd receive several different offers, but chose Houston as his next destination for college football.
Dell would immediately become the lead receiving on the team in 2020 with 29 receptions for 428 yards on a shortened season. Dell's next two seasons saw him exceed 1300 receiving yards in both seasons, finishing as the only player in program history with multiple top-10 receiving seasons in program history. He totaled 199 total receptions over his final two seasons, resulting in being named to the 2021 and 2022 First-team All-ACC.
