The Miami Dolphins have selected OT Patrick Paul with the No.55 pick in the NFL Draft.
Given the health of Terron Armstead and his inability to stay healthy it makes sense the Dolphins add a tackle in Houston’s Patrick Paul. Paul has a ton of experience as he started 44 games in college at the left tackle position. He is long and athletic too, possessing all the physical tools that NFL general managers covet in a talented tackle prospect.
While Paul has all the physical tools, he has a long way to go in terms of his technique. Despite his experience he is still considered a long-term developmental prospect and many analysts considered him a day three prospect. This makes this a big reach at the end of the second round in a selection that will likely be met with criticism.
