RB Patrick Taylor Staying in San Francisco
11 hours ago

The San Francisco 49ers are bringing back running back Patrick Taylor.

The San Francisco 49ers are bringing back another running back.  They have already re-signed Jordan Mason this offseason.  Now, they have brought in running back Patrick Taylor on a one-year deal.  He will serve as the third string running back on the 49ers.

Last year Taylor appeared in 5 games.  He started in Week 18 where he finished as RB-16 on the week.  For now, he can be added to deep roster dynasty leagues.  If Christian McCaffrey is still having lingering leg injuries Taylor can serve as a backup.

Patrick Taylor Jr. Joins The 49ers On A 1 year deal
11 months ago

Patrick Taylor Jr. is hoping to become the backup running back in the Bay Area.

Patrick Taylor showed promising performance during the preseason and also performed well during the few chances he got in the regular season. However, due to his position on the depth chart, he was overshadowed by Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon, and as a result, he only managed to have 49 touches for the Packers throughout the 2023 season.

It’s likely that Patrick Taylor could face similar challenges in San Francisco, where Christian McCaffrey is the undisputed starting running back and Elijah Mitchell is a reliable backup for the 49ers offense. However, Taylor has the advantage of playing in a system that favors running backs, so he may have a chance to compete for the second-string position if he outperforms Mitchell during the upcoming offseason.

Patrick Taylor, an undrafted free-agent RB, knows he’ll have to work hard to see playing time in the regular season with the 49ers.
