The Falcons Look to Back Up Drake London with Ray-Ray McCloud III
4 months ago

With depth being an issue at the wide receiver position for the Atlanta Falcons, Ray-Ray McCloud III is making the most of his offseason with the first team offense.

The Atlanta Falcons have invested little into their wide receiver room this offseason. All signs point to a breakout for 3rd year receiver Drake London. Who emerges as the number 2 wide receiver remains to be seen. According to ESPN’s Marc Raimondi, Ray-Ray McCloud III has made his mark during the Falcons OTAs.

Raimondi noted that McCloud got repetitions with the first team and had quite a few receptions from Kirk Cousins for big gains. While this information is notable, keep in mind that full pads and contact don’t start until training camp. Ray-Ray McCloud III will fit into a larger rotation versus having outright snap share in the Falcons offense this fall.

In free agency, Darnell Mooney signed a 3-year deal for $39 million and Rondale Moore was acquired via trade when the Falcons sent Desmond Ridder to the Arizona Cardinals, subtly making room for Michael Penix Jr. Just last week, there was positive buzz and hype about Illinois wide receiver Casey Washinton working with the first and second string offense.

Between Casey Washington and Ray-Ray McCloud III as your last waiver wire pick-up in Dynasty leagues, choose Casey Washington. Don’t believe the hype on Ray-Ray McCloud III.
