Ronnie Bell joined Michigan as a three-star recruit as a member of their member of their 2018 recruiting class. With future NFL wide receivers on the team in Nico Collins and Donovan Peoples-Jones leading the way, Bell played sparingly as a true freshman but did score two touchdowns. Bell would take the leap the following year, leading the team in receiving (758 yards) over Collins and Peoples-Jones.
In a COVID-shortened season in 2020, Bell again led Michigan in receptions (26) and receiving yards (401). Bell only appeared in one game in 2021, but his one reception went 76 yards and a touchdown. With 27 games on his resume and under 1500 career receiving yards, Bell returned for one last season in 2022. His 62 receptions nearly matched the second- and third-leading receivers on the team and his 889 receiving yards again led the Michigan team.
