Outside of Texas, Roshcon Johnson is known as Bijan Robinson's backup, but everyone from Texas knows Johnson as the lifeblood of the Texas Longhorns football team and community. Johnson was recruited as a 4-star dual threat quarterback coming out of Port Neches, Texas. The 2019 season saw Johnson only taking carries at quarterback, with Sam Ehlinger as the main passing quarterback. After Texas also landed four-star QB recruit Hudson Card, Roshcon made the switch to running back full-time. Robinson also came in as a freshman, and both he and Johnson quickly overtook the other Longhorn tailback, Keaontay Ingram. Johnson finished his four college seasons with 2,190 rushing yards and 56 receptions. The Chicago Bears selected him in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He is projected to be in a committee with D'Onta Foreman and Khalil Herbert.
