Sterling Shepard

Sterling Shepard is joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It is a 1-year deal that reunites him with college teammate Baker Mayfield.

Sterling Shepard is at the point where his best days are behind him from an NFL production standpoint and does not warrant consideration for fantasy gamers in 2024. Shepard will be aiming to compete with Trey Palmer and Jalen McMillan to try and fill out the receiver room led by Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. 

The 2016 2nd round pick for the Giants has been oft-injured and seen multiple instances of his productive seasons stalling causing fantasy gamers to always wonder what an injury free career would look like for Shepard. 

Sterling Shepard is a reminder that even if players are good enough to hit in the NFL, they also need fortuitous breaks when it comes to health. Over his 8 year career, Shepard has had 372 receptions, 4,095 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns.
