Tiyon Evans started his collegiate career at Hutchinson Community College in 2018. As freshman, Evans rushed for 538 yards and averaged 8.8 yards per carry. He also caught 4 passes for 43 yards a score. The following JUCO season was cancelled due to Covid. Tiyon Evans entered the transfer portal and ended up on the Tennessee Volunteers roster for the 2021 season. Even though Evans was hampered by injuries, he managed to rush 81 times for 525 yards and caught 4 passes for 74 yards. Before the season ended, Tiyon Evans announced he was entering the transfer portal. Evans emerged from the portal as the starting running back for the Louisville Cardinals. Technically still a junior, Tiyon Evans rushed 83 times for 525 yards before declaring for the draft.
