The 6-5 255 pound tight end, Tucker Kraft, was recruited to South Dakota state from Timberlake, South Dakota where in high school he primarily played running back. Kraft was productive in all three phases at the high school level including serving as the teams punter.
Kraft’s most productive season at South Dakota State came in 2021 where the tight end caught 65 passes for 773 yards, scored six touchdowns, and averaged 11.9 yards per catch. Kraft earned an All-Missouri Valley Football Conference First-Team selection in 2021 because of his fantastic 2021 season. His 2022 campaign was not as productive, but it was still productive. In 2022, Kraft played in nine games, caught 27 passes for 348 yards, hauled in three touchdowns, and averaged 12.9 yards per catch.
