Tyler Scott was a three-star recruit that joined Cincinnati as a member of their 2020 recruiting class. As a true freshman, he barely played and touched the ball four total times. In 2021, Scott's role increased dramatically for a Cincinnati team that made the College Football Playoffs. He finished second on the team in receptions (30) and receiving yards (520) behind future NFL third-round pick, Alec Pierce.
In his junior season in 2022, Scott emerged as the Bearcats' leading receiver. He finished with 54 receptions for 899 yards and nine touchdowns. The nine receiving touchdowns were the third-most in the AAC and his yards per reception in both 2021 and 2022 finished top-four in the conference, as he finished his collegiate career with an impressive 16.5 yards per reception mark.
