Zach Charbonnet spent his first two college seasons as a Michigan Wolverine. He was leaned on as the team's workhorse back as a freshman, putting up more rushing yards than now-pro and backfield mate, Hassan Haskins. Over those two seasons, Charbonnet rushed for 850 yards and 12 TDs. He posted just 14 receptions for 71 yards, putting into question his whether he possessed an all-purpose skillset. He put those questions to bed after transferring to UCLA for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. In Chip Kelly's offense, Charbonnet was utilized heavily in the run and pass game. He compiled more than 1,100 rush yards and 190 receiving yards in back-to-back seasons.
Charbonnet was selected in the second round (2.21) of the 2023 NFL draft by the Seattle Seahawks. He will join teammate Kenneth Walker in a dynamic Seahawks backfield.
