Kenneth Walker is doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Patriots after suffering an oblique injury in week 1 vs. the Denver Broncos.
Walker had a great week 1 against the Broncos before missing the final two series of the game. After the game, there was a positive sentiment that he’d be fine for week 2. Once the adrenaline wore off, Walker proceeded to not practice all week, making him a near lock to not play this Sunday.
2nd year Running Back Zach Charbonnet immediately slots in as the next man up behind Walker, and he should be expected to be leaned on heavily on Sunday. While Kenny McIntosh could mix in the backfield for the Seahawks as well, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Charbonnet hovering above an 80% snap share this weekend, similar to how he was used in games Walker missed last year. This makes him a solid starting option in fantasy lineups, coming in as RB21 PlayerProfiler’s rankings this week.

Seattle Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet returned to practice on Thursday, August 3rd after being declared “Out Indefinitely” earlier in the week. Kenneth Walker remains out with a groin injury.
Great news for Charbonnet, who was expected to miss a significant amount of time. The 2nd-Round rookie out of UCLA returned to rep with the First Team O alongside DeeJay Dallas and rookie 7th-Rounder Kenny McIntosh while Kenneth Walker was out.
Bas on initial reports it appeared as though KW3 would be back on the field before Charbonnet. Walker is still expected back in short order and his Week 1 status is not believed to be in jeopardy. Walker is PlayerProfiler’s 35th ranked player in re-draft entering 2023.
Seattle Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet is “Out Indefinitely” with a shoulder injury.
The Seattle Seahawks will be without both Zach Charbonnet and Kenneth Walker for an undetermined amount of time. Walker will be back when his groin injury quiets down, while Charbonnet is a bit more complicated. The former UCLA RB will have his shoulder checked by doctors today, which could indicate surgery is a possibility.
While there is currently no reason to believe Walker’s injury will carry into the season, the indefinite label given to the 2nd-Round rookie brings that into question. DeeJay Dallas and rookie 6th-Rounder Kenny McIntosh will battle for 1st Team reps while Walker and Charbonnet are out.
