Zach Evans was rated a 5-star recruit out of Houston, TX and committed to TCU. At TCU, he was part of a committee of running backs used. Zach Evans rushed for 415 yards and caught 8 passes for 76 yards. He finished 2nd in rushing yards among the RBs. 2021 was Evans' breakout season evidenced by his 102 opportunities for 778 total yards. He led the team in rushing yards and led all running backs in receiving yards. The following season, Zach Evans transferred to Ole Miss. He was productive, but found himself in a committee with freshman Quinshon Judkins. Evans broke through the 1,000 total yard mark, but trailed by over 600 yards to Judkins.
